ATRAC3plus (Adaptive Transform Acoustic Coding3plus) is an audio compression technology, developed from the ATRAC3 format. You can get about 30 CD’s onto a CD-R/RW if your CD’s are around 60 mins in length and your recording onto a 700MB CD-R/RW at 48kbps. This is pretty good and you can play audio CD’s and mp3 CD’s as well. The player displays the song name and artist. Batteries

Although as a mp3 CD players its fine – it’s the ability to compress 30 CD’s onto 1 CD that makes it attractive. BUT the software to do this (SonicStage v2.0) is poor and often produces unreadable CD’s (coasters).
